The motivation behind this piece was something that had already begun to echo across other parts of my life and would continue to do so. There was going to be more to this story than what had already been written as of yet. The title begs the question: “what was Temporary Destiny 1.0?” My hope is that the music works out the tension between the two temporary destinies.
Speaking of echoing across things in my life, the “echo” feature seemed appropriate, courtesy of GarageBand. Shortly before recording, I enabled this feature and started doodling. When I found something palatable to begin this track with, I dove right in. Today this is still one of my favorite tracks ever recorded.
