This piece was composed as an attempt to imitate what I understood Romantic-era music to be. Simply written in a loose A-B-A format, this piece takes a minimalistic approach to melody and a maximalistic approach to motivic development. I believe I originally wrote it to be a first section to a much longer piece, but years later when I picked up the sketches again, I determined that this composition was complete as it was.
This track was created and mixed in GarageBand, with a simple piano patch and minimal effects.
